About The Old Court House

Located in Wooler, on the foothills of The Cheviots, our Grade II listed boutique bed & breakfast offers a relaxing and comfortable stay for all guests.

The Old Court House Bed & Breakfast is one of Wooler’s most recognisable buildings. Once a court house during the Victorian period, it later became a police station and holding cells during the 20th Century. It has now been sympathetically renovated to provide five en-suite guest bedrooms.

Our rooms are all named to correspond to their historical use within the building. For example ‘The Court Room’, which is our large family room / suite, originally formed most of the actual law court.

We are a fully licensed B&B and offer a range of drinks from our bar menu to enjoy in our guest lounge, or try a homemade cake and a cup of Teapigs tea or freshly ground coffee in our dining room.

Being a family run B&B we pride ourselves on offering the personal touch – so if you’re here to relax or have a special occasion in mind – please don’t hesitate to ask if we can provide that extra something.

We look forward to welcoming you soon, Skye & Austen.
