About The Old Court House

Located in Wooler, on the foothills of The Cheviots, our ‘Grade II Listed’ bed & breakfast offers a relaxing and comfortable stay for all guests.

The Old Court House Bed & Breakfast is one of Wooler’s most recognisable buildings. Once a court house during the Victorian period, it later became a police station and holding cells during the late 19th / early 20th century. It has now been sympathetically renovated to provide 5 en-suite guest bedrooms.

We have 3 rooms with their own external entrances and 2 rooms, situated on the first floor, which share a front door, hallway and a wide stair case.

All of our rooms are named to correspond with their historical use within the building. ‘The Court Room’, which is our large family room / suite, originally formed most of the actual law court.

We are a fully licensed B&B and offer a range of drinks from our bar menu to enjoy in our guest lounge or on the terrace. Or perhaps enjoy a cup of Northumberland tea or freshly ground coffee instead.

Being a family run B&B we pride ourselves on offering the personal touch – so if you’re here to relax or are celebrating a special occasion – please don’t hesitate to ask if we can provide that extra something.

We look forward to welcoming you soon, Skye & Austen.
